Carer Support:

Homelink is a nurse-led day respite care centre for adults staffed by qualified nurses, health care assistants, and trained volunteers. They are always on hand to give clients help and to take care of a wide variety of clients’ individual needs and to build good relationships.  We are here to give carers a well-earned day’s respite each week, secure in the knowledge that the person they look after is receiving care of the very highest standard.  The idea is to provide companionship as well as mental and physical stimulation to our clients. We provide a happy and vibrant environment where people can enjoy each other’s company while they are cared for and supported.  This leaves carers free to have a break from what can be an exhausting and stressful daily routine.

Homelink provides complete support for carers, including regular meetings and enhanced access to other local support groups. We also offer individual professional advice and support, involve you, the carer, in care assessments, and give facilitated mutual support with other carers through support meetings.

We also provide support to carers aimed at reducing anxiety, stress and isolation.  Additionally, we offer advocacy and advice on services and benefits available including assessments of carers’ needs.  We can also support carers to access other local support services.
